What is animation?

Animation is a way of using art to show people different views of movement in 2d or 3d. There are a lot of things that people think of when they hear animation, they might think of Walt Disney or a movie like WALL-E. What reminds me of animation are The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and Alice in Wonderland. Animation has come a long way and has developed a lot.
